"London Ghost Festival" and "Haunted History
Walks" are all sub-division of the London Paranormal
Society, hereafter referred to as "LPS".
All
associated events, event names, event themes, text, graphics
and artwork featured on this website © London Paranormal
Society 2006 - 2009. All rights reserved.
Payment
& Refund Policy
1.
You agree that payment for your chosen LPS event must
be made before the event takes place.
2. Upon receipt of your reservation, we will reserve your
place(s) for 7 days. If your reservation is made within
7 days of your chosen event, payment must be received
no less than 48 hours before the event.
3.
We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if payment
is not received in accordance with the above.
4.
Payment for your event is available by PayPal or cheque.
5.
LPS will not be held responsible for PayPal transactions
which do not complete successfully or cheques that are
lost or delayed in the post.
6. It is your responsibility to contact your bank or PayPal
should your choice of payment not arrive in time.
7. All payments due via cheque or specially arranged BACS
transfer need to clear at least 24 hours prior to the
event, otherwise your place will be cancelled.
LPS
may agree that you can make your payment on the night
of the event. This arrangement is strictly at the discretion
of LPS.
8. If YOU cancel a booking:
Cancellations on your part of more than 6 weeks before
the event / departure date will receive 50% of the full
balance. Cancellations on your part of less than 6 weeks
from event / departure date will result in no refund.
This is to cover administration and deposit charges to
our locations. Places are non–transferable.
9. If a booking is cancelled LPS:
Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by LPS
due to weather conditions or situations beyond our control.
Should this occur, LPS will make every effort to ensure
you receive a prompt and full refund of payment. If the
event is moved or re-scheduled, you will be given the
opportunity to take a place at the alternative venue or
date.
General
Terms & Conditions
I AGREE THAT ON MAKING PAYMENT, I HAVE READ AND ABIDE
WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT BY LONDON PARANORMAL
SOCIETY
1 - Please ensure that all clients must be over 18 years
of age and hold a valid UK passport and or relative passports
and associated Visa’s if needed. It is the client’s
responsibility to acquire all relevant documents. LPS
hold no responsibility over these issues.
2 - IMPORTANT: If anyone is suspected of being under the
influence of alcohol or under the influence of drugs during/
before the event, they will not be allowed to stay and
asked to leave the premises immediately with no refund.
3 - You are required to act in a sensible manner throughout
the night, and not cause harm or damage to any other attendees,
team workers, representatives to the location, otherwise
you will asked to leave and the police will be called.

- The London Paranormal Society reserves the right to
refuse admission.
5
- Expectant mothers or clients recovering from major surgery
or anaesthetic are strongly advised not to attend our
overnight events. Should you still wish to attend you
will be asked to sign a disclaimer
6 - The London Paranormal Society will not be liable for
any loss or damage to equipment / belongings to the participants
during and after the event, even if caused by alleged
paranormal activity.

- Although we cannot foresee any problems, accidents /
incidents do happen and all participants are advised to
have their own third party liability insurance as our
insurers have indicated that our public liability may
not cover you during your visit to the location since
it is outside our normal public access categories. LPS
carries public liability insurance.

- LPS are not responsible for legal liability in respect
of any costs, claims, damages, demands, penalties, actions,
proceedings, suits, losses or expenses in respect of or
arising out of the injury to or the death of any person,
or damage to any property arising from your participation
in the activity.

- All luggage, clothing, equipment, vehicles and effects
belonging to you or your party are your own responsibility.
The London Paranormal Society or the location is not responsible
for the safe custody of participant’s property for
its loss, damage or theft.

- Any event due to take place wholly or partially in the
open air is likely to be affected by unsuitable/adverse
weather conditions. In this case, The London Paranormal
Society reserves the right to relocate the event to an
area which is under cover. In most cases all events take
place, as it is your responsibility to bring suitable
clothing and footwear to match the weather conditions
for the time.

- You agree that you have booked onto a public ghost hunting
event which is also classed as a paranormal investigation.
This event is not a TV programme; we cannot guarantee
that paranormal activity will take place on the night
of your stay. We advise our clients, paranormal activity
is a rare occurrence, even though our location is reputable
and been witness to such activity, it may or may not happen.
Please note that all ghost stories, myths and legends
about the locations are not fabricated by LPS, however,
although some are due to witness statements, many of the
origins are not researchable and an unreliable validation.

- We suggest persons travelling a long distance to our
events should secure further accommodation for the following
night or book transport home due to tiredness caused by
the event. We do not accept any responsibility for any
accidents or incidents caused after the event. TIREDNESS
KILLS!
13 - Throughout the event you and your party will act
in a sensible manner and will not cause harm or injury
to anyone else, any animal, effect of property etc. The
London Paranormal Society management reserve the right
to ask you to leave if we should consider your actions
to be in any way inappropriate or in any way anti-social
towards fellow attendees, team workers, representatives
to the location, otherwise you will asked to leave and
the police will be called.

- The paranormal ghost hunts are conducted by The London
Paranormal Society and we hold no responsibility for any
emotional, physical or other upset brought on as a result
of participating in the event. You do so knowing that
you know not of any condition, medical or otherwise that
would preclude you from taking part in the event. You
will agree that LPS will be notified as soon as possible.
Refund will only take place under the refund policy (
please see above)

- Your event with The London Paranormal Society may include
one or more team members who claim to be sensitive, psychics
or mediums, whose role during this event is purely for
entertainment purposes. Upon adhering to the terms and
conditions upon receipt of payment, you agree that any
perceived information, advice, predictions or comments
made by the said psychics or sensitive’s should
not be interpreted as factual or actual

- The London Paranormal Society reserve the right to change,
add, or amend to these terms and conditions at any time.
They also reserve the right to change, add, and amend
any part of the event at any time.

- Events held by The London Paranormal Society are classed
as public ghost hunts or paranormal investigations. The
public events are for solely entertainment purposes only
and advertised as an alternative night out. LPS do not
make claims to be scientists, accredited parapsychologists
or claim their viewpoint regarding alleged paranormal
activity is the right way to think. LPS remind you that
we all have different opinions regarding supposed paranormal
activity and life after death therefore, LPS will not
confirm or deny that if unexplainable activity occurs,
it maybe paranormal. LPS also suggest that the clients
are responsible for their own decisions into whether they
have experienced supposed paranormal activity or whether
they believe in life after death.
20 - You agree that LPS prices reflect the current competitive
UK prices, and take into consideration the hire of the
locations. LPS night vigil prices may vary in accordance
to the hire of the location LPS endeavours to keep the
prices as affordable as possible.
21.
You understand that LPS team members will run the vigils;
they will endeavour to help you sense any activity, operate
equipment and try to answer any questions you may have,
to the best of their knowledge.

- Most importantly you must understand we all have a different
opinions concerning the paranormal – you have booked
onto this event with the knowledge that sometimes our
paranormal investigators, psychics or team leaders may
sense, see or feel things you may not or agree with. This
not a reflection on you or your own abilities. However,
should you sense, feel or see something paranormal, our
investigators, psychics or team members with look at all
the possible causes – be that natural or unnatural,
first. This is an investigation – we will look at
all facts.
24.
You understand that LPS will supply various gadgets associated
with ghost hunting. We will give you a brief explanation
on how they work – it is up to you, the client to
use them at your will, unless otherwise stated by LPS.
LPS does not state that the gadgets can ‘pick up’,
‘tune into’ or record spirits, ghosts and
or other supposed paranormal activity. LPS agree with
parapsychologists that many of the gadgets are not ideal
in capturing alleged phenomena and are often misinterpreted
in the field.
25.
Lone vigils may happen, according to the size of the location.
You understand due to the number of participants, and
length of event, not everyone will be able to experience
it. LPS will endeavour to try and fit everyone in throughout
the night, however, should we run out of time, it is our
policy to call it a day.
26.
You agree that LPS night vigils will include on average
15-35 ghost hunters, and on average 5-10 team members
who vary in accordance to availability and LPS policy.
LPS deserves the right to use various sensitive’s
and paranormal investigators at all events.LPS occasionally
will use a guest psychic, or paranormal investigator and
sustain the right to change the billing of the event due
to the guests availability.
27.
London Paranormal Society is run by Ian Shillito. LPS
realises that a number of ghost hunters book onto the
events in order to work with Ian as he has appeared on
Most Haunted. Ian will do his utmost best to work will
all of you throughout the night; however you agree that
you will be put into smaller groups headed by other psychics,
paranormal investigators. Ian will swap around during
the course of the event.
28.
You understand that most events will include a brief explanation
about ghosts and hauntings, sometimes a group mediation,
group and lone and refreshment breaks. Please note that
all group vigils run for approximately – 60 –
90 mins and will be lead by 1-2 LPS team leaders (However
should activity occur these times may be extended) Lone
vigils will run approx; 10-15 mins.
29.
LPS will supply basic refreshments, tea, coffee, biscuits,
unless stated in the event breakdown on the site.
30.
Your event maybe filmed for our records, and you maybe
asked to film a solo vigil. This footage may be included
in a promotional video and appear on the net or as promotional
material. Should you not want to be included, please inform
an LPS team member ASAP.
Private
Bookings
When a private booking is made we require a deposit amount
of 50% which is non refundable to hold your booking.
We
require full balance to be paid within 21 days of an event
taking place, unless by special arrangement with LPS
DISCLAIMER
You
agree that all events held by London Paranormal Society
are classed as an alternative night out and are solely
for public entertainment purposes only. LPS makes no guarantees
regarding the validity of the supposed paranormal activity
associated with our locations or information, obtained
from any of our sensitives, psychics, mediums or investigators.
No perceived opinions, information, advice or comments
made by any of the LPS volunteers, guests or employees,
sensitives, psychics or mediums should be interpreted
as factual or actual.
You, the client, are responsible for making your own decisions
if one of our psychics, sensitives or mediums gives you
a reading and understand it should not be interpreted
as the only course of action. You also agree that we all
have different opinions regarding supposed paranormal
activity and life after death and that LPS suggests you,
the client makes up your own mind as to whether ghosts
exist or whether you experienced any paranormal activity
during our event.
