INTRODUCTION

Ghost hunting with London Paranormal prides itself for researching and obtaining new and exciting haunted properties. Between 2006- 2008, we have introduced 10 new haunted properties into the paranormal event circuit.

Ever wanted to sleep in a haunted location? We have been offering this kind of event to our clients in 2009. Taking the ghost hunt to the extreme, our spectral hunters will investigate and then sleep at this ghost-ridden and expansive stronghold. Landguard Fort is large, menacing and built to intimidate, this unique find will not disappoint. Experience the labyrinth of tunnels, the old gaol, and many period rooms.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY

With over 500 years of habitation, invasion and death, it comes as no surprise that this location is haunted and witness to a plethora of paranormal activity in or around the Fort.
The ghost of a soldier was witnessed immediately after his death, terrifying his fellow colleagues. Is this unfortunate man responsible for the most recent and regular sightings at the fort? The image of a sailor has also been seen looking out of the top right window (the side visible from the road.

A Musketeer is another resident ghost who was said to be the only soldier killed in the battle when the Dutch attacked the fort in 1667 during the last invasion of England by a foreign force. He only seems to appear when the country is in danger - and appeared several times during the Second World War, seen walking around during sea mist.
Another regular haunting at Landguard replays the death of a Portuguese woman who was driven insane by her soldier husband’s death by firing squad in 1757, that she committed suicide by throwing herself off the ramparts.

One particular ghost legend has been associated with the fort since 1770. It recalls the unfortunate victim of an infectious Plague who was locked in the bastion and left to die a slow, a horrible death.

Phantom marching has been heard heading towards the fort and recent LPS events encountered intelligent knocking, white mists in human form, an apparition of someone falling from battlements, arch’s of light anomalies and several reports of being pushed.
